Recipe: Easy Homemade Pasta The Whole Family Can Enjoy And Made Even Easier With Bosch

Ingredients

300g flour

3 eggs at room temperature

1Tbsp olive oil

Pinch of salt

Method

Using the BOSCH Food Processor To make the pasta dough, if you have a mixer with a dough hook like the Bosch Food Processor, add the flour and pinch of salt to the bowl, put the mixer on slow and add one egg at a time to the flour. Mix until all the flour and eggs are starting to combine and form a crumbly mixture.

Remove the contents and work the mixture on your benchtop until and you have a nice smooth yellow dough. Add an extra yolk if it appears too dry. If you do not have a mixer you will need to make a bed of flour on your benchtop and make a well in the middle. Add one egg at a time mixing it into the flour then adding the next egg once the previous one is mostly mixed in. Mix all eggs into the dough until is starts for form a yellow dough, this should take around 10 minutes to complete. As for previous, if the dough is too dry add an extra egg yolk. Wrap the dough in glad wrap and ensure there are no air bubbles. Rest in the fridge for at least 1 hour*.

Use a pasta machine to roll the pasta., we use the Bosch MUMPRO5 with its optional Pasta roller. Unwrap the pasta dough and cut it in half re-wrap the section you are not immediately using to avoid it drying out. Using a rolling pin flatten the dough and try to form it into a nice rectangular shape. It needs to be about 1 ½cm thick before it will roll through the machine. Set the pasta machine to its widest setting and pass the pasta through the machine 2-3 times, fold the pasta if needed to get a perfectly rectangular shape or trim with a knife. If the pasta is too wet dust it with some flour. Repeat passing the pasta through the machine but after 2-3 rolls reduce the setting on the machine by 1 step at a time until you get to the lowest setting. The pasta can now be cut into shape. Once you have finish rolling and cutting the pasta dust it with flour to avoid it sticking back together. Bring a pot of water to boil and season the water well with salt and olive oil (approx. 2tbsp. oil and 1 tbsp. salt). Add the pasta and cook for approx. 4 minutes or until it floats to the surface of the water. Add your favourite sauce to serve.

Note * Pasta can be left in fridge for up to 24 hours
